Our Mission Statement

The mission of Kirkwood Camp and retreat Center is to strengthen the Church of Jesus Christ by enabling children, youth and families to begin or to deepen their experience of God, in the context of nature and a caring Christian community centered on the Word of God.

 
Kirkwood Camp and Retreat Center, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, consists of 286 acres with such diversity as large meadows for games, a pond for boating, swimming and hiking trails winding through laurel hammocks, piney forests, and stands of hardwood.  The highlights of this site include the suspension bridge which crosses Big Pocono creek which is suitable for tubing, fly fishing and environmental studies as well as "the ridge" which gives a majestic view of the Pocono mountains including the Delaware Water Gap.  As a camper once said, "Camp would not be camp without a ridge and a bridge".
